Who I Am & What I’ve Contributed

🔧 Who I Am & What I’ve Contributed
Over the years, I've worked to improve the accessibility and usability of RPG Maker resources for Japanese users.
From translating hundreds of plugins to enhancing map assets and collaborating with the official team,
here's a look at how I’ve contributed to the RPG Maker community.
🗂️ Summary Timeline
- 📘 Early 2019: Started translating YEP (Yanfly Engine Plugins)
- 🔁 2019: Also translated MOG, Galv, HIME, and Victor Engine plugins
- ✅ Oct 31, 2019: YEP became paid; received official permission to distribute translation patches
→ "Munokura of FunGameMake" on official YEP wiki - 🌀 2020: Granted permission to redistribute translated SRD plugins
→ Linked on SRD official site - 📦 2021: Provided Remake Map Resource Pack to GGG (Gotcha Gotcha Games)
- 🧱 2021: Created improved RPG Maker FES tileset and sample maps for GGG official DLC
📜 Background & Story
When RPG Maker MV was released, some of the Yanfly Engine Plugins (YEP) were available in Japanese via official channels.
However, the translations were often outdated, missing bug fixes and new features.
To address this, I started translating and distributing the latest versions in early 2019.
By the time Yanfly announced retirement and monetized their plugins (after releasing 200),
I reached out through itch.io to report my translation efforts.
With their blessing, I was allowed to release patches officially, and my name was added to the ToS as a verified translator.

In parallel, I contacted other plugin authors via Twitter (now X), such as MOGHunter, Galv, HIMEWorks, and Victor Engine.
Many of them approved either full translations or patch-based releases.
One notable case was SRD (SumRndmDde), which usually forbade redistribution.
I was granted an exception—and they even linked my site as a sign of endorsement:

🧩 Official Resource Contributions
In early 2021, GGG reached out to me for collaboration.
I provided the Remake Map Resource Pack, enabling users to access and edit MV and VX Ace sample maps directly in RPG Maker MZ.
Later, I heard user complaints about how difficult it was to use RPG Maker FES map tilesets.
Upon checking, I realized the data was incomplete and required advanced edits just to work properly.
So, I manually fixed autotile settings and created new sample maps.
🧱 These improved materials were then officially released as DLC by GGG.

🔚 Closing Thoughts
These efforts reflect my long-standing commitment to helping RPG Maker creators—especially Japanese users—by removing technical barriers
and improving the quality of tools and assets.
